Over the next couple of years, RFK Stadium and Reservation 13 are slated for major development.  These changes will significantly impact ANC6B10 neighbors.  As your ANC commissioner, Denise will represent your concerns before the DC government, federal agencies, and others involved in the process.

Denise is a former military officer, lawyer, professor, lobbyist, and transparency advocate. Using her federal executive and legislative branch experience, she has testified in her role as ANC6B10 Comissioner at numerous DC Council hearings on WMATA, DDOT, DCRA, DC statehood, the police, and RFK stadium.  Denise knows how to promote neighborhood interests and will make sure your voice is heard.

1837 A Street, SE

Denise and her husband Tim first came to DC in the early 1990s to attend college at The George Washington University. In 2001, Tim and Denise were married and their first house was at 6th and I, SE.  They moved to 1837 A Street, SE in 2003.

Denise has two daughters, Cason and Megan.  Everyday, they bike or walk to school.  Crossing 17th Street, SE in the mornings is a challenge and Denise is a strong proponent of slowing the traffic so that school children and others can safely cross the street.

During the summer, Denise can be found in her backyard garden.  The neighborhood squirrels and birds watch as Denise tends to her strawberries, black raspberries, tomatoes, grapes, pumpkins, and peaches.  For some reason, the only thing they don’t try to eat is the rhubarb.
